This Privacy Policy describes how CONTRA XYZ INC., doing business as CONTRA ("CONTRA," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you use our websites, mobile applications, products, and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services"). It also describes the rights and choices that may be available to you.
This Privacy Policy applies when you:
- Visit https://www.houseofcontra.com or another CONTRA website that links to this Privacy Policy;
- Download or use the CONTRA: By Invitation mobile application or another CONTRA application that links to this Privacy Policy;
- Apply for, create, or use a CONTRA account;
- Apply for membership, join the CONTRA community, host or attend an event, submit or manage an RSVP, communicate through the Services, or otherwise use our event invitation and community platform; or
- Communicate or otherwise interact with us in connection with the Services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the independent privacy practices of event hosts, venues, sponsors, service providers, or other third parties. Those parties may process personal information under their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service at https://www.houseofcontra.com/terms. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.
1. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with CONTRA, the features you use, and the choices you make.
A. Information You Provide to Us
We may collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Identity and profile information, such as your name, username, profile photograph, date of birth or age, biography, occupation, employer, job title, interests, social media handles or profile links, and other information you choose to include in your profile or membership application;

- Account and authentication information, such as your username, password, verification information, security credentials, and account settings;
- Membership and application information, such as information included in an application, referral, nomination, invitation, or member profile;
- Event and RSVP information, such as events you view, save, host, apply to attend, or attend; your RSVP status; guest information; ticket or registration details; waitlist status; check-in information; and event-related preferences or responses;
- Host information, such as event descriptions, venue information, guest lists, invitations, host communications, event imagery, and other materials submitted when creating or managing an event;

- Transaction information, such as purchases, subscriptions, free trials, refunds, billing information, and transaction history. Payment information is collected and processed by our payment processors, such as Stripe, PayPal, or the applicable app store, rather than stored directly by CONTRA; and
- Content, such as photographs, videos, captions, comments, and other materials you upload, submit, or make available through the Services.
Please do not provide personal information about another person unless you are authorized to do so and, where required, have provided any necessary notices or obtained any necessary permission.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we and service providers acting on our behalf may automatically collect:
- Device information, such as device type, hardware model, operating system, device identifiers, application version, browser type, language, mobile carrier, and Internet service provider;
- Network and log information, such as Internet Protocol address, access times, referring URLs, pages viewed, features used, links clicked, searches, crash data, and other diagnostic or usage information;
- Approximate location information, such as location inferred from your Internet Protocol address; and
- Cookie and similar-technology information, as described in Section 7.
With your permission, our mobile application may also access information or features on your device, such as your precise location, contacts, calendar, camera, photographs, or push-notification settings. If you grant access to your contacts, or connect a third-party account that includes an address book, we use that information to identify and inform you of contacts who have also registered for the Services. You can change these permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work properly if the relevant permission is disabled.
C. Information From Other Sources
We may receive personal information from:
- Other users, including hosts, attendees, members, and people who refer, nominate, invite, or add you to an event;
- Event hosts, venues, sponsors, and business partners;
- Photographs and video captured at events by CONTRA or its authorized personnel, as described in our Terms of Service;
- Social media platforms or other services you choose to connect to the Services;
- Service providers, including identity-verification, fraud-prevention, analytics, payment, and communications providers;
- Publicly available sources; and
- Corporate affiliates, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We may use information from these sources to operate the Services, maintain and improve our records, protect users and the Services, understand interest in CONTRA, facilitate requested events and interactions, and provide relevant content.
We do not treat a mobile phone number obtained from a third party or public source as consent to receive SMS or MMS messages. We do not use third-party-sourced mobile phone numbers for text-message marketing unless the individual has separately provided legally sufficient consent that expressly applies to CONTRA.
D. Sensitive Personal Information
Certain information may be considered sensitive under applicable law, depending on its nature and the jurisdiction. We ask that you not submit sensitive personal information unless it is requested for a specific feature and you choose to provide it. If we collect sensitive personal information, we will process it only as permitted by applicable law and for the purposes disclosed when it is collected.
2. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Review and administer membership applications, referrals, nominations, and invitations;
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage accounts;
- Facilitate events, invitations, guest lists, RSVPs, waitlists, check-ins, referrals, and communications among users;
- Process transactions and subscriptions and provide transaction-related information;
- Personalize the Services and recommend relevant content, features, communities, or events within the Services;
- Feature and promote events within the Services, including in listings, feeds, recaps, and archives, as described in our Terms of Service;
- Send administrative, security, transactional, service-related, and support communications;
- Send marketing or promotional communications where permitted by law and consistent with your choices;
- Respond to questions, requests, complaints, and feedback;
- Monitor, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the performance, security, and usability of the Services;
- Detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, harmful conduct, and violations of our terms or policies;
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and enforce our agreements;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
- Carry out another purpose described to you when the information is collected or for which you provide consent.
We may aggregate or de-identify information so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We may use and disclose aggregated or de-identified information for lawful purposes and will not attempt to re-identify it except as permitted by law.
3. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract, including providing the Services you request and administering your account, membership, events, and RSVPs;
- Legitimate interests, including operating, securing, improving, and promoting the Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests;
- Consent, where we ask for and receive your consent for a particular activity;
- Compliance with legal obligations; and
- Protection of vital interests, where processing is necessary to protect a person from serious harm.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, subject to applicable law. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose personal information in the circumstances described below.
Mobile Messaging Data
Notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy, we do not share, sell, rent, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS or MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
A. Service Providers
We may disclose personal information to vendors, consultants, contractors, and other service providers that process information on our behalf, such as providers of:
- Cloud hosting, data storage, and content delivery;
- Account registration, authentication, and identity verification;
- SMS, email, push-notification, and other communications services;
- Payment processing;
- Customer support;
- Security, fraud detection, and abuse prevention;
- Analytics, product development, and technical operations; and
- Professional services, such as legal, accounting, insurance, and auditing services.
These providers may process personal information only for the purposes of providing services to us or as otherwise permitted by law and their contracts with us.
B. Event Hosts, Venues, Sponsors, and Participants
When you interact with an event through the Services, we may disclose information reasonably necessary to facilitate that event to the relevant host, co-host, venue, sponsor, or operational partner. This may include your name, profile information, RSVP status, guest information, responses to event questions, attendance or check-in status, and communications relating to the event.
Hosts may use attendee information only as reasonably necessary to administer and communicate about the specific event for which it was provided, as required by our Terms of Service. Hosts and other event partners may act independently from CONTRA and may have their own privacy practices. Attendance at an event or inclusion on a guest list does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing from a host, venue, sponsor, or other third party. Those parties are responsible for obtaining any consent required for their independent marketing communications.
C. Other Users and the Public
Information you choose to post or make visible through the Services may be visible to other users or, depending on the feature and your settings, the public. For example, users may be able to see profile information, event content, host information, attendee information, or activity that you choose to make visible. Consider carefully what you choose to share.
D. Business Partners and Advertisers
We may disclose certain personal information to business partners when necessary to provide a feature, service, event, benefit, or experience you request, or as otherwise explained when the information is collected. Advertisers that display advertisements in the Services may receive information through cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 7.
This provision does not apply to mobile phone numbers, SMS or MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent data. We do not disclose such mobile information to business partners or advertisers for their marketing or promotional purposes.
E. Affiliates
We may disclose personal information to any parent company, subsidiary, joint venture partner, or other entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with CONTRA. We require affiliates receiving personal information under this provision to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy.
This affiliate provision does not permit any affiliate to receive or use mobile phone numbers, SMS or MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent data for its own marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share, sell, rent, or provide such mobile information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
F. Corporate Transactions
We may disclose or transfer personal information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law. Any recipient will remain subject to the restrictions applicable to mobile messaging consent data unless and until the individual provides any new consent required by law.
G. Legal, Safety, and Enforcement Purposes
We may disclose personal information when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a lawful governmental request;
- Protect the rights, property, safety, or security of CONTRA, our users, or others;
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security issues, or illegal activity;
- Enforce our agreements, terms, and policies; or
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
H. With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose personal information at your direction, with your consent, or for another purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection.
5. PAYMENT PROCESSING
If you make a payment through the Services, payment information may be collected and processed by Stripe, PayPal, the applicable app store, or another payment processor. Each payment processor's privacy policy governs its independent processing of your payment information. We may receive limited information relating to the transaction, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, billing contact information, and portions of payment-card information.
You can review Stripe's privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
6. SMS AND TEXT MESSAGE COMMUNICATIONS
When you provide your mobile phone number and affirmatively agree to receive text messages from CONTRA, we may collect and use your mobile phone number, messaging preferences, consent records, opt-in and opt-out information, message content, and information concerning message delivery and interaction.
A. Transactional and Service-Related Messages
CONTRA may send SMS, MMS, or other text-based messages concerning your account and activity on the Services. These messages may include:
- Account and authentication notices;
- RSVP confirmations and changes;
- Event-registration and waitlist updates;
- Reminders for events with which you have interacted or for which you have registered;
- Host-added and referral-status notifications;
- Security and fraud-prevention notices;
- Customer-support communications; and
- Other non-promotional information related to your use of the Services.
B. Marketing Messages
If CONTRA offers a marketing or promotional text-message program, we will send marketing messages only where permitted by law and in accordance with the consent presented for that program. Marketing messages may include event invitations, upcoming-event announcements, event recommendations, special opportunities, promotions, or similar content from CONTRA.
Consent to receive transactional or service-related text messages does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing or promotional text messages. Consent to receive marketing text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services or of using the Services.
C. Frequency, Charges, and Opt-Out
Message frequency varies based on your account activity, event registrations, messaging preferences, and use of the Services. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out of a CONTRA text-messaging program at any time by replying STOP to a message from that program. After you reply STOP, we may send one final message confirming your opt-out. You will not receive additional messages from that messaging program unless you provide consent again or otherwise re-enroll, subject to applicable law. Opting out of a marketing or promotional program does not by itself opt you out of non-promotional messages sent through a separate program.
Reply HELP for assistance, email us at xyz@houseofcontra.com, or call (+1)5612898439. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
D. Mobile Information and Consent
We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number, SMS or MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We may disclose mobile information to telecommunications providers and other service providers acting on our behalf only as reasonably necessary to operate and support our messaging services, including message delivery, authentication, security, fraud prevention, data hosting, and customer support. These providers are not permitted to use your mobile information or messaging consent for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Your consent applies only to CONTRA and the messaging program described when consent is requested. Mobile messaging consent is not transferred to event hosts, venues, sponsors, or other third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional use.
Your participation in a CONTRA text-messaging program is also subject to our Terms of Service at https://www.houseofcontra.com/terms and applicable law.
7. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We and service providers acting on our behalf may use cookies, software development kits, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember settings, maintain security, understand usage, measure performance, diagnose problems, and improve the Services.
Where permitted by law, we may also use these technologies to measure campaigns, personalize content, and support advertising, including advertisements displayed in the Services. Some third parties may collect information over time and across different websites or applications. Depending on applicable law, certain uses may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising.
You may be able to manage cookies through a cookie-preference tool made available on our website or through your browser settings. You may also limit certain mobile application tracking through your device settings. Blocking some technologies may affect the functionality of the Services.
Where required by applicable law, we recognize supported browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising with respect to the browser or device from which the signal is sent.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining legitimate business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, protecting the Services, and complying with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
The retention period depends on factors such as the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, whether you maintain an account, the existence of an ongoing relationship or dispute, and applicable legal requirements. Event materials already featured in in-app recaps or archives may be retained as described in our Terms of Service, and we will honor reasonable written requests to remove specific materials going forward. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to applicable law and technical limitations such as backup cycles.
9. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet and no electronic storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
CONTRA is based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law, we use an approved transfer mechanism or other appropriate safeguard for international transfers of personal information. You may contact us for additional information about the safeguards applicable to your information.
11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and persons under 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from an individual under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe an individual under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at xyz@houseofcontra.com.
12. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
Depending on your use of the Services and applicable law, you may have the following choices:
- Account information: You may review or update certain account information through your account settings or by contacting us.
- Email marketing: You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. We may continue sending non-promotional messages relating to your account or use of the Services.

- Push notifications: You may disable push notifications through your device settings.
- Device permissions: You may change access to location, contacts, calendar, camera, photographs, or other device features through your device settings.
- Connected accounts: You may disconnect a third-party account through your account settings (if available) or by contacting us.
- Cookies and targeted advertising: You may use the controls described in Section 7 and any privacy-choice mechanism we make available.
13. UNITED STATES PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information;
- Access personal information we maintain about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information;
- Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
- Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
- Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
- Obtain information about categories or, where required, specific third parties to which personal information has been disclosed; and
- Appeal our denial of a privacy-rights request.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.
To submit a request, email xyz@houseofcontra.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." Describe your request and provide information reasonably necessary for us to identify the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will use information submitted for verification only for verification, security, fraud-prevention, and compliance purposes.
Where permitted by law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. However, certain analytics or advertising practices involving cookies or similar technologies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some state privacy laws. Where applicable, you may opt out using the privacy controls described in Section 7.
The mobile-information restrictions in Sections 4 and 6 apply regardless of these other disclosures: we do not share, sell, rent, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS or MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
14. EEA, UNITED KINGDOM, AND SWITZERLAND PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under applicable data-protection law, including the right to:
- Request access to your personal information;

- Request portability of certain information;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- Lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in your country or region.
You may exercise these rights by contacting us as described in Section 17. These rights may be subject to limitations and exceptions under applicable law.
15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, applications, services, events, venues, or platforms. CONTRA does not control and is not responsible for the privacy, security, or other practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
If you choose to connect a third-party account or service to CONTRA, that third party may provide information to us consistent with your settings and its privacy policy. If you disconnect a third-party account, we will attempt to delete information obtained through that account, except the username and profile picture that became associated with your CONTRA account. Our use of information received from Google APIs, if applicable, will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are material, we will provide prior notice through the Services or by email, consistent with our Terms of Service and applicable law. Your continued use of the Services after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to applicable law.
